Temporary academic fellowships for threatened or displaced scholars to continue their work in safety.

Who can apply
Professors, researchers and public intellectuals from any country, including Afghanistan, may qualify. Academic achievement and the urgency of threats are assessed. This is not funding for a degree. Applicants outside their home country for over two years, with safe-country citizenship or permanent residency, or with two years of comparable support are typically ineligible.
What it covers
Year-long fellowships of USD 30,000 support academic placements. A second year may be available in many cases.
